Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care to ensure the health, safety, and security of our veteran residents in accordance with established agency Standard Operating Procedures and Nurse Practice Act.
- Administer medications and perform treatments to assigned patients, utilizing your expertise and judgment to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Document patient needs and treatment as required by local, state, and federal regulations, maintaining accurate and concise records.
- Collaborate with team members to provide comprehensive care to patients, sharing knowledge and expertise to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Direct and evaluate nursing care provided to patients, ensuring that care is delivered in accordance with established standards and protocols.
- Participate in leadership of team conferences to develop individualized nursing care plans, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure patient-centered care.
- Assign nursing care to team members in accordance with patient needs and available staffing, ensuring that care is delivered efficiently and effectively.
- Coordinate other duties as needed, including special projects and initiatives that support the nursing department and the organization as a whole.
- Must be willing and able to work weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Must possess licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of Florida.
- Must have current CPR certification.
- Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Successful completion of the due diligence process, to include but not limited to, a Level II Background check and drug screen.
- One (1) year of experience in long-term care / 120 bed skilled nursing facility, with a geriatric population.
- One (1) year of experience providing practical nursing services.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records.
- Excellent retirement package and optional deferred compensation plan.
- Health, vision, dental, disability, and other supplemental insurance are available at reasonable premium rates.
- Paid vacation and sick leave.
- Nine (9) paid holidays and one (1) personal day.
- Tuition waiver available for State Universities and Community Colleges (up to six (6) credits per semester).
