Key Responsibilities:
Contested Foreclosure and Title Resolution:
- Oversee a portfolio of contested foreclosure cases assigned to you.
- Serve as a records custodian and fact witness at trials and depositions, providing testimony regarding servicing processes as required.
- Analyze and interpret mortgage loan documents to act as a corporate witness in contested foreclosure matters.
- Negotiate settlements with minimal oversight within established authority limits.
- Process requests from assigned attorneys for settlement authority and related matters to resolve cases efficiently.
- Collaborate directly with law firms to ensure timely and effective responses to discovery requests.
- Support the attorney network in legal recovery initiatives.
- Identify and report any issues that may pose liability or exceed your authority to management.
- Monitor trends that could lead to complications in future litigation.
- Manage correspondence related to accounts assigned to attorneys.
- Track all actions, discovery, and witness obligations for future reference.
- Complete additional projects and tasks as assigned by management.
- Investigate and resolve title issues that may hinder foreclosure sale completion or post-sale conveyance.
- Assist with the foreclosure process for both Judicial and Non-Judicial filings across partner states as needed.
- Organize and maintain attorney requests and documentation.
- Conduct final reviews and execute necessary documents required in the foreclosure process.
- Manage outstanding attorney bills and invoices.
- Provide support to foreclosure staff by addressing borrower inquiries and prioritizing daily documentation tasks.
- Engage in training and cross-training opportunities with department staff.
- Be a collaborative team member, ready to assist colleagues when necessary.
- Participate in job-related classes and seminars to enhance your professional knowledge.
May include other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in foreclosure or mortgage servicing.
- Experience in the legal field, particularly with law firms, is desirable.
- At least 3 years of experience in litigation resolution preferred.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to meet individual and team case management objectives.
- Effective multitasking and goal-oriented mindset.
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work remotely as needed.
- Ability to follow directions from colleagues to provide accurate testimony.
