Job Description

The City of Eustis, Florida is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Department Supervisor to join our team.

About the Job

This is a critical role that requires strong leadership and administrative skills. As a Fire Department Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the fire department, managing personnel, and ensuring the safety of the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise fire suppression activities, emergency responses, and related tasks
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance public safety and reduce risk
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including incident reports, training records, and equipment maintenance
  • Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure seamless communication and response to emergencies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Science or a related field
  • 8 years of progressively responsible fire service experience, including line officer knowledge and/or experience
  • State certifications as required by the State of Florida (e.g., Fire Officer I, Live Fire Instructor I, etc.)
  • Valid Florida Class E driver's license with an acceptable driving record
