Commercial Inspector

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Inspector to join our team at SAFEbuilt. As a Commercial Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring that construction projects meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform field inspections during various stages of construction to ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
• Read and examine plans and specifications to identify potential issues and ensure code compliance.
• Report violations and maintain accurate records of inspections and findings.
• Perform other related duties as required to support the success of our team.

Requirements:

• Extensive knowledge of local building codes and current construction procedures/technology.
• Ability to interpret codes in the field and provide code-compliant solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with staff, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Good time management, organization, and attention to detail skills to ensure accurate and timely completion of inspections.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ICC Commercial Inspector certification(s) required.
• Additional ICC Inspector certifications preferred.
• Inspection experience preferred.
