Position Summary

As a Facade Consultant, you will become part of a dedicated team of technical experts and advisors within our Building Envelope Division. The ideal candidate embodies commitment, collaboration, growth, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute facade design, detailing, and analysis while participating in testing, fabrication, and construction oversight.
  • Provide guidance to architects and clients regarding building enclosure performance, constructability, and longevity.
  • Conduct and supervise field reviews and progress inspections on assigned projects.
  • Document and maintain comprehensive reports on project-related activities, tracking progress from initial proposal to completion.
  • Ensure familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
  • Advise management on project performance, key issues, status updates, scheduling, and completion estimates.
  • Establish effective communication and relationships with clients and project management teams.
  • Create detailed designs through hand sketching and utilizing 2D and 3D CAD software as necessary.
  • Provide cross-functional support to meet client needs and adhere to internal timelines and project activities.
  • Break down technical requirements and assist in managing project budgetary constraints.
  • Offer updates on manpower and resource availability.
  • Occasionally present white papers or case studies to technical teams.
  • Oversee team members and promote training and mentorship.
Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in building envelope or enclosure projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering.
  • Registered Architect or Professional Engineer preferred.
  • Master's degree in Architecture or Engineering preferred.
  • Strong understanding of architectural design principles and local laws/codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Inspection certifications are a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and other document writing software.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment and solve problems effectively.
  • Detail-oriented mindset while maintaining a broader perspective.
