Job Summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide high-quality imaging services to patients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating nuclear medicine scanners to produce diagnostic images, while ensuring exceptional patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Imaging and Care
    • Screen patients for examination precautions and contradictions, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
    • Explain and prepare patients for nuclear medicine imaging procedures, positioning them for optimal image quality.
    • Perform routine and advanced nuclear medicine imaging procedures on designated body parts, providing patient support and comfort throughout the process.
    • Assess, prepare, record, and administer radioactive pharmaceuticals according to Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations and departmental policies.
  • Quality Control and Safety
    • Perform daily quality control procedures on specified equipment to ensure correct and accurate operation.
    • Conduct daily and weekly departmental surveys to ensure compliance with radiation standards and Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations.
    • Report contamination to the Radiation Safety Officer.
  • Department Support and Maintenance
    • Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
    • Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
    • Assist with training new associates, providing resource and technical expertise.
    Requirements
    • Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine imaging procedures and safety protocols.
    • Excellent patient care and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Flexibility to work various day shifts and adapt to changing priorities.
