Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist NICU Pediatrics to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. As a member of our patient-focused care team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality respiratory care to patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform basic respiratory equipment maintenance and quality control measures
  • Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment
  • Assess patients appropriately, interpret results accurately, and suggest alternative respiratory treatment
  • Communicate regularly with physicians and nurses about patient care plans and updates
Requirements
  • Acute Care Hospital experience preferred
  • Graduate of an American Medical Association accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Current Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license
  • Current certification as Basic Life Support (BLS) provider
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required for NICU RRT Staff
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required for ICU RRT staff
