Full-Time NIGHTS

The Certified Respiratory Care Specialist (RRT) will undertake the following key responsibilities:

  • Administers all fundamental respiratory therapies as directed by healthcare providers in alignment with established institutional policies and protocols.
  • Utilizes and oversees mechanical ventilation systems in partnership with healthcare professionals, suggesting modifications to enhance patient outcomes, comfort, and facilitate the weaning process.
  • Assembles, disassembles, operates, maintains, troubleshoots, cleans, and adjusts durable medical equipment and circuitry utilized in respiratory care delivery as per established protocols.
  • Conducts pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic evaluations as instructed, adhering to institutional guidelines.
  • Performs thorough patient evaluations and assesses responses to provided care, offering insights to healthcare providers regarding care plans, appropriate respiratory therapy applications, and necessary adjustments as clinical conditions evolve. Accurately documents care provided in compliance with institutional policies.
  • Engages and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop care strategies, recommend therapy modifications, and address any issues that arise, especially in unfamiliar scenarios.
  • Oversees daily departmental operations, ensuring all assigned duties are fulfilled. Maintains proficiency in all relevant functions and serves as a resource for departmental personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS-


Certified Respiratory Care Specialist

Full-Time NIGHTS

Candidates for the Certified Respiratory Care Specialist (RRT) position must fulfill the following qualifications:

Experience

  • Preferred experience in an Acute Care Hospital setting.

Education

  • Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program recognized by the American Medical Association.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Valid Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required for NICU RRT personnel.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required for ICU RRT personnel.

Compensation: $27.09- $32.51- $37.92 per hour based on years of experience
