Burn Med Surg RN

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Burn Med Surg RN to join our Float Pool team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. As a key member of our healthcare family, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and achieving positive outcomes in our Med Surg and ICU departments.
Responsibilities- Maintain overall accountability for assigned patients, ensuring their needs are met and their care is coordinated.
- Assess, evaluate, plan, implement, and coordinate treatment plans for patients with critical illness and vent management in the ICU.
- Respond to Code Blue situations within the facility, initiating protocol and special procedures as needed.
- Manage the efficient flow of patients, including screening, preparation for exams, providing general nursing care, and arranging or testing and admissions.
- Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Maintain and review patients' records, including posting tests and examination results.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
- Check rooms daily for necessary supplies.
- Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, including phone triage when needed.
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing with an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher.
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state where you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is required.
- At least two (2) years of full-time equivalent Acute Care RN experience in the designated area is required; less than 2 years of experience requires approval by the CNO.
