Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at Evansville Goodwill Industries, Inc. As a Sales Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting our mission to provide employment services, digital skills training, and education to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Merchandise Management: Maintain a visually appealing store environment by processing, stocking, and pulling merchandise, as well as ensuring that all products are constantly being rotated.
  • Donation Processing: Sort and process donations according to company guidelines, and ensure that all donations are handled and processed in accordance with Goodwill policies and procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with store team members, clients, and volunteers to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
  • Operational Support: Assist with daily store operations, including cash handling, register balancing, and inventory management.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to use a computer-based register system and perform basic financial calculations.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and team lift or use equipment to aid in the lifting and movement of items over 40 pounds.
Working Environment

The working environment is indoors with occasional exposure to outside temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
