Corporate Security Specialist

Position Summary
The Security Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring a secure environment for all personnel, clients, and visitors at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. This position involves overseeing and managing the flow of individuals entering and exiting the premises to safeguard against theft and vandalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a vigilant presence at designated posts to control access and escort clients, visitors, and vendors as needed.
- Conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety of individuals on site and protect property from theft and damage.
- Utilize surveillance systems and security software to monitor alarms, manage access control, and investigate any disturbances.
- Document daily activities and any irregularities, including equipment malfunctions, theft suspicions, and unauthorized access.
- Compile and submit detailed activity logs at the conclusion of each shift.
- Respond to emergencies by coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services.
- Provide administrative support to various departments, including managing communications and requests.
- Handle logistical arrangements for conference rooms and ensure they are properly maintained.
- Assist employees with supply retrieval and maintain accurate records of items taken.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in corporate security, military, or law enforcement is advantageous.
- Proficiency in a second language is a plus.
- Knowledge of security software and systems is preferred.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in corporate security is required.
Educational Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A valid New York State Security License is mandatory.
Compensation Information
The anticipated salary range for this position is between $50,000 and $60,000. The actual salary will be determined based on various factors, including the applicant's qualifications, relevant experience, educational background, and any professional certifications held.
