Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to optimize production performance and minimize downtime.
- Manage contractor work and maintain detailed records of completed repairs and maintenance activities.
- Assess, train, and mentor direct reports to optimize their performance and personal growth.
- Communicate performance standards and expectations to employees and recognize individual and team accomplishments.
- Coordinate and monitor the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure efficient maintenance operations.
- Perform root cause analysis of machine downtime and recommend improvements.
- Utilize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess progress against objectives.
- Conduct regular audits of maintenance activities and provide training to subordinates as needed.
- Coordinate major maintenance and capital projects across shifts.
- Maintain plant facilities and grounds in accordance with regulatory standards and fiscal considerations.
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures related to maintenance and safety.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required.
- Knowledge of equipment setup, functions, operating procedures, and preventative maintenance techniques.
- Basic knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred.
- Ability to read instructions, maintenance manuals, drawings, and specifications.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working in a maintenance department, preferably in an automated food processing plant.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions to complete machine rebuilds and repairs.
Shift: 3rd shift
