Key Responsibilities:
As a Pest Control Technician, your primary duties will include collaborating with various clients in the hospitality sector and other commercial enterprises. By delivering high-quality services and identifying effective solutions to pest issues, you will assist our clients in safeguarding their reputation and supporting their operational success.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building strong working relationships with diverse clients and advising them on best practices for pest management.
- Staying informed about Ecolab's product and service offerings as well as industry trends to enhance service delivery and sales of pest prevention and elimination solutions.
- Utilizing handheld computerized tools to manage service requests and document structural, sanitation, and pest-related concerns.
This role is classified as heavy work.
Position Overview:
Your route will encompass various territories. The work schedule will be a combination of shifts.
The compensation package ranges from $43,000 to $53,000 annually.
As a leader in the industry, Ecolab provides a world-class training program designed to equip you with the skills necessary to excel in your field. During the training, you will be required to travel for one week to Ecolab's Corporate Headquarters for in-depth training, with the remaining weeks dedicated to field training. Ecolab will cover travel expenses and related costs.
Successful completion of the 5-week training program is essential for continued employment.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
- A minimum of two years of work or military experience.
- A valid Driver's License with a satisfactory motor vehicle record, along with the ability to maintain a company vehicle and equipment in good condition.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Willingness to be on-call during off-hours and weekends as needed.
- Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds at chest height.
- Comfortable working in various conditions, including confined spaces, damp or dusty environments, and extreme temperatures. Must also be comfortable climbing ladders.
- Ability to perform essential duties, including lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and using hands for various tasks.
- Must be capable of wearing a respirator.
- Possess or be able to obtain the necessary pest certification and/or business licensing as required by local laws.
- Must pass a drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service.
- Ability to sell value-added products to existing clients.
- Experience in the pest elimination industry or route management is preferred.
