Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and process blood specimens for in-house and reference laboratory testing
  • Maintain strict safety and infection control techniques at all times
  • Identify patients and their personal information by reviewing their identity documents
  • Analyze blood specimens using correct testing equipment, when necessary
  • Prepare specimens for transportation, including labeling vials accurately and matching blood specimens to patients
  • Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment used in the drawing and testing of blood specimens
  • Order Laboratory supplies, as needed
  • Practice, develop, and endorse customer service skills in relationships with internal and external customers
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Annual BLS required
  • Phlebotomy experience preferred
  • Successful completion of phlebotomy training program
