Job Summary

Cephas Consultancy Services Private Limited is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing routine and special procedure imaging, preparing patients for procedures, and assisting radiologists as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients correctly for specific examinations, observing different and special requirements for each protocol.
  • Assume responsibilities for designated areas and/or procedures and produce good technical images, reviewing completed exams for quality and completeness.
  • Assist physicians during procedures as necessary.
  • Perform equipment quality assurance and calibrations as needed, and order supplies.
  • May be required to work in case of emergency procedures or when situations arise in the department.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all work areas, equipment, and accessories, and report any malfunctioning equipment to Bio Med or supervisor.
  • Process films or print CDs as needed.
  • Perform routine office duties, such as answering phones, checking previous reports/films, and documenting information on patients' requests.
  • Notify transport when patients are ready to be picked up or returned to floors.
  • Show radiologist films and call reports to the attending physician and document communications if necessary.
  • May be assigned as an instructor or preceptor.
  • Treat all people/staff in a professional and courteous manner, upholding the hospital's behavioral standards.
  • Introduce yourself and educate each patient or family member regarding the examination that is ordered.
  • Be knowledgeable and skillful in providing care based on age, physical, and psychosocial needs of different patient populations.
  • Perform other related duties as required, attend staff meetings, and in-services.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist must be a graduate of an allied health education and accredited radiography school or equivalent.
  • NY State DOH Licensure required.
  • ARRT certification and/or NMTCB preferred.
  • CPR certified preferred.
