Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per yearThe Registered Nurse RN Lactation Consultant role requires advanced understanding and ability to utilize the nursing process, with expertise in lactation management according to the ILCA Standards of Practice for IBCLC Lactation Consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert care in lactation management, serve as an expert consultant to maternal-child staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, and participate in program development activities
- Document all aspects of patient care efficiently, accurately, and per policy recommendations
- Participate in Performance Improvement activities
Requirements:
- IBCLC (International Board of Lactation Consultant) Certification required upon hire
- Two years of experience providing breastfeeding education required
- Continuing education in lactation and breastfeeding required
- RN license in the state of Texas
- BLS certification
