Surgical Technologist Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist III to join our team at AdventHealth Ocala. As a member of our health care team, you will perform technical support in the perioperative period under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures
  • Prepares the sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions
  • Displays knowledge of procedure and patient positioning
  • Performs appropriate counts with the circulator prior to the operation and before incision is closed
  • Gowns and gloves the surgeon and assistants
Requirements
  • High School Graduate/GED
  • Successful Completion of accredited Surgical Technology program
  • CST with at least three years of experience
  • Specialist in at least 3 areas as evidenced by Surgeon sign-offs
  • Current CST
  • AHA BLS
