About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our team at AdventHealth Ocala. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical department, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our healthcare team to deliver outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare for surgical procedures using the surgeon preference card and obtain supplies and instruments for the procedure.
  • Practice sterile and aseptic technique as demonstrated by proper surgical hand scrub, preparation of mayo stand, back table and other sterile surfaces including the draping of the patient.
  • Safely manage instrumentation and equipment during the surgical procedure.
  • Manage countable items on the surgical field to avoid retained surgical items.
  • Perform post-case clean up and proper care of instrumentation.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1 year of Position-Related Experience
  • BLS obtained through the American Heart Association
  • Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology Program OR successfully completed an accredited Surgical Technology Program
