Fleet Technician Job Description

The Fleet Technician is a critical role at National Guard Employment Network, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our company fleet vehicles. As a Fleet Technician, you will be responsible for performing repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance on our diesel and gasoline trucks, trailers, pallet jacks, forklifts, and automobiles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with company fleet vehicles
  • Schedule and conduct preventative maintenance to ensure vehicles are in good working condition
  • Test equipment to ensure proper functioning and performance
  • Respond to service calls and complete required paperwork
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
Requirements:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • 1-3 years of experience in auto mechanics and heavy equipment repair required
  • Class A Commercial Driver's License and clean MVR preferred
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification desirable
  • Ability to supply automotive hand tools
  • Basic proficiency with computer applications
  • Demonstrated automotive, mechanical, and technical aptitude
  • Working knowledge of vehicle repair and maintenance methods, equipment, and techniques
