Position Overview:

The selected candidate will hold a faculty position within the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, with an academic rank that reflects their experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Educating and mentoring residents and NICU fellows within the department.
  • Collaborating with local community physicians to enhance patient care.
  • Participating in the Maryland Regional Neonatal Transport Program (MRNTP), which offers critical transport services for infants from over 30 hospitals in the region.
  • Providing referrals to the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) for advanced neonatal and pediatric care.
  • Engaging in research and clinical initiatives related to substance use in pregnancy.
Facility Highlights:

The position is based in a Level III NICU with a capacity for 20 patients, located in Towson, MD. The facility is equipped with 24/7 telehealth support from UMMC's Level IV NICU and has a dedicated team of advanced practice providers available around the clock.
