Job Title: Full Time Drug and Alcohol Counselor Supervisor

About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at BayMark Health Services. As a Counselor Supervisor, you will play a vital role in assisting patients through medically assisted treatments and providing techniques for handling opioid addiction. You will conduct individual and group sessions to help patients manage crisis situations and develop coping strategies. Your expertise will be essential in evaluating patients' progress and collaborating with doctors, nurses, and other counselors to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Familiarity with the 12 Core Functions of Counseling
  • Provide individual and group counseling services, direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals, and coordinate all services throughout treatment
  • Complete bio-psychosocial assessments
  • Conduct individual initial assessments and evaluation interviews for service eligibility determination
  • Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans
  • Facilitate, establish, and review with each patient the initial treatment plan
  • Ensure accurate and current clinical records are maintained in accordance with Federal and State Regulations governing NTP clinics
  • Other related duties as determined by supervisor

Qualifications:
  • Preferred: Current addiction/substance abuse certification/license as CAC I, CAC II, or higher certification/license
  • Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals
  • Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population
  • Satisfactory criminal background check & drug screen
