About the Job:

Covenant House Florida is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to fill the position of Youth Care Navigator. This role plays a vital part in providing comprehensive case management services to clients, assisting them in developing and implementing a plan for housing, and monitoring their progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive case management services to clients, including assistance with building money management skills, financial budgets, and savings plans.
  • Motivate participants towards participation in weekly individual counseling sessions and monthly council meetings.
  • Ensure clients are working towards their goal of permanent housing by acquiring adequate job skills, income, and community connectivity.
  • Develop and manage relationships with landlords and outside agencies to assist participants with stabilizing their residency.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of Housing Project activities and services to ensure compliance with agency policies and licensing requirements.
  • Supervise residents, maintain order, and exercise appropriate judgment at all times.
  • Assist youth in emergencies as directed by supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in human services, psychology, counseling, criminal justice, or social work required.
  • Minimum of two years' work history preferably in case management working with youth who are at-risk.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment, exercising mature judgment in crisis situations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of conflict resolution skills and sensitivity to culturally diverse populations.
