Clinical Internship Opportunity at Catholic Charities

Catholic Charities is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a clinical intern. As a clinical intern, you will have the opportunity to work with licensed clinical staff and a diverse range of client populations.



Job Summary

This clinical internship is a clinical practice position for students in an accredited human services master's degree program. The internship provides students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in clinical duties, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.



Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical services to a selected client population under close supervision.
  • Learn to successfully engage clients in services and demonstrate an increasing knowledge of best practice principles and methods.
  • Formulate psychosocial evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans in consultation with a supervisor.
  • Understand and apply the co-occurring treatment philosophy, which integrates strength-based, child/family-centered, trauma-informed, culturally competent, and recovery-oriented principles.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address mental health and substance abuse disorders.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical staff to provide assessment and treatment services to clients.
  • Participate in ongoing supervision, consultation, and training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.


Qualifications

To be eligible for this internship, you must be enrolled in a master's degree program in a human services field and have a strong interest in clinical practice. Prior experience in direct practice services is preferred but not required.
