Job Title: Quality Systems Engineer II

Job Summary:

As a Quality Systems Engineer II at Jabil, you will represent the quality function of technical support, collaborating with internal support groups and Workcell Members to address issues affecting quality, lean manufacturing, and six sigma quality initiatives on global customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and validate training curriculum in your area of responsibility.
  • Analyze field and manufacturing line component failures, and drive corrective actions.
  • Coordinate and generate failure analysis and corrective action reports for component issues.
  • Review and guide component reliability testing, providing technical assistance in specialized fields.
  • Work with quality, production, manufacturing, suppliers, and subcontractors to discuss and resolve quality aspects of specialized parts, materials, and assemblies.
  • Communicate changes in Jabil's DPM expectations to the supply base.
  • Provide a communication forum for the exchange of ideas and information with Worldwide plant quality and functional management departments.
  • Prepare and present customer presentations related to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Assess communication style and adapt your own communication style accordingly.
  • Define, develop, and implement Quality Engineering strategies contributing to campus strategic directions.
  • Provide regular updates to the Quality Engineering Manager on the execution of the strategy.
  • Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems.
  • Utilize tools to monitor departmental cost and cost trends, striving continuously to improve value.
  • Provide feedback to Test Engineering Manager and workcell manager on cost and cost trends.
  • Review all supplier discrepancies, coordinate, and track corrective/preventative action efforts.
  • Participate in vendor survey activities as applicable.
  • Interface and provide technical support on component quality issues with the customer as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
  • Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required and 5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The pay range for this role is $99,185 - $178,533. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.

As part of the total rewards package, this position is eligible for a short-term incentive based on performance.
