Job Summary

We are recruiting for full-time Anesthesiologists to start immediately in a collaborative practice model working alongside supervised CRNAs.

The anesthesiology department at Salem Health offers a wide variety of surgical cases, including trauma, general, neurosurgery, spine, orthopedics, urology, vascular, ophthalmology, gyn, OB, ENT, pediatrics, cardiothoracic, electrophysiology, GI, and pulmonary procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Perform anesthesiology cases in a collaborative practice model with supervised CRNAs
  • Participate in call responsibilities
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the anesthesiology department
Requirements
  • Doctor of medicine (M.D.) or osteopathy (D.O.) degree
  • Completion of a training program in anesthesiology accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
  • Board Certification in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiology
  • Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Oregon
  • Compliance with the ABA Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology Program (MOCA)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current Physician's Recognition Award of the American Medical Association or completion of 100 hours of continuing medical education (CME) over two years
  • At least 50 percent of CME hours in the primary specialty of practice
