About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Salem Health. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care to patients as directed by the plan of care, including policies and procedures.
  • Accurately perform skills per policy and procedure, completing only those skills duties for which competency has been demonstrated.
  • Observe and report any patient condition changes to the Primary Nurse, including abnormal vital signs, abnormal responses to care, and changes in patient behavior.
  • Document pertinent patient information concisely and legibly using acceptable medical terminology and abbreviation.
  • Assume additional clerical responsibilities as department needs dictate.
Requirements
  • Currently certified in the State of Oregon to practice as a CNA.
  • Have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider card from the American Heart Association.
  • Well-developed computer skills and ability to learn additional programs with minimal training.
  • Ability to work tactfully and effectively with physicians, nurses, and other hospital employees.
