Job Summary

A. O. Smith is seeking a highly skilled Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Franklin, Tennessee facility. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on industrial equipment with a strong emphasis on electrical controls and systems.

Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Respond to production work orders to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide variety of manufacturing and facility equipment, including fabrication, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, PLC, and robotic processes.
  • Quality Assurance: Become familiar with A. O. Smith's product specifications and quality standards, including assisting in the development and upkeep of operating procedures for process and equipment, reviewing each line for quality, and working with the Quality department to train employees to identify quality problems.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 100 pounds at a time/ 50lbs overhead, stand and walk continuously throughout shift, without sitting down.
  • Work Orders: Complete all work orders related in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Certification or Degree: Journeyman or similar related certification or trade degree preferred; HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Five plus years of experience in specific responsibilities mentioned above.
  • Tools and Knowledge: Must possess a complete set of maintenance tools and working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, PLC's, and robotics.
Benefits
  • Competitive Pay: Minimum of $27.85/hour ($26.85/hr plus $1/hr shift differential). More depending on experience.
  • Sign On Bonus Opportunity: $1500 (Must not be on a corrective action for attendance to qualify for bonus payments).
