About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Travel Sales Consultant to join our team at AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional travel sales and support experiences to our members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Customer Service: Sell international and domestic vacation packages, cruises, tours, hotel, car rental, rail, and air travel to our members.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay current with world events and latest travel industry developments and trends, and provide relevant information to members.
  • Document Processing: Process and interpret travel documents for members purchasing travel products with AAA and inform them of governmental requirements.
  • Business Development: Initiate contact with members and past customers to prospect for new business and encourage repeat business.
  • Cross-Selling: Cross-sell products and services, such as insurance (P&C, Life), new membership accounts, etc.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 years of recent experience selling international and domestic travel services (preferred).
  • Certifications: Travel Institute certification as CTA, CTC, or CTIE (preferred).
Work Environment

This is a full-time, onsite position at AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah. You will work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, table, or computer workstation for extended periods of time. You may also travel by car, plane, or other form of transportation to attend business meetings or conferences.

Compensation

We offer a competitive hourly base plus commissions. The compensation range for this role is between $52,358.00 and $78,537.00 per year. In addition, you will be eligible for a bonus guarantee for the first five quarters.
