Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Express Care team at Allegheny Health Network. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide primary and acute healthcare services to patients with various health conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care, including recording medical history, physical assessment, and developing therapeutic care plans.
  • Communicate and coordinate patient care with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Order diagnostic tests, interpret results, and provide accurate medical record documentation.
  • Prepare and administer medications, injections, and provide wound care.
  • Educate patients and families on health and preventive medicine, medications, and treatment instructions.
  • Triage patient calls, provide monitoring, and continuity of care.
  • Participate in performance and quality improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies.
Requirements
  • MSN from a State Board of Nursing-approved Master's Program.
  • National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners through AANP or ANCC.
  • Practicing-state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Prescriptive Authority from the practicing state within 60 days of hire.
  • Drug Enforcement Agency Licensure within 60 days of hire.
  • BLS Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post-Master's program, DNP.
