We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner to join our team at UPMC. As a member of our care delivery team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of patients and families, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
About the RoleThe Staff Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a Physician Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner and a member of the care delivery team. The Staff APP is responsible for setting the standards for the level and quality of care, managing and providing patient care activities for a group of patients and their families, and establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with physicians, other healthcare providers, patients, and their families.
Responsibilities- Provide patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with all team members.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians, other healthcare providers, patients, and their families to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of patient care plans, ensuring that they are individualized and meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a graduate degree from a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the physician assistant (ARC-PA) or a graduate degree from an approved nurse practitioner program. You will also need to have current state licensure and certification as a Physician Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner, as well as current CPR certification.
