Certified Steel Construction Inspector

Special Testing Laboratories, a leader in construction materials testing and inspection services, is in search of a Certified Steel Construction Inspector to deliver scheduled inspection services on diverse construction sites and steel fabrication facilities. In this role, you will collaborate closely with project supervisors to evaluate various stages of steel construction and identify any inconsistencies as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of field and shop welding, metal decking, bolting, light gauge framing, shear studs, ultrasonic testing, and column alignment.
- Prepare detailed daily inspection reports and coordinate with office personnel regarding scheduling and documentation.
- Engage professionally with staff and clients to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; additional college education is advantageous.
- Relevant industry experience is essential.
- AWS-CWI Certification or in-progress certification is required.
- UT Certification is preferred.
- OSHA Certification is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
