The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at our Canistota, SD facility. As a Nursing Assistant, you will provide resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
Responsibilities- Provide basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and providing psychosocial support
- Assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as appropriate
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary
- Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department-specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
