Job Overview

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to provide exceptional education and support to students with diverse learning needs.

This role involves developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, adapting and modifying the general education curriculum to meet individual needs, and collaborating with general education teachers and other staff to support student learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IEPs for students with special needs.
  • Adapt and modify the general education curriculum to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and other staff to support student learning.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students in learning.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and goals.
  • Provide a safe and positive learning environment for all students.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid state Special Education teaching license.
  • Previous experience working with students with special needs is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
