We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Specialist I to join our team at UCHealth. As a key member of our behavioral health unit, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for patients with complex behavioral health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Care Team: Work closely with our interdisciplinary care team to provide safe, supportive, and therapeutic environments for patients.
- Monitor and Document Patient Progress: Continuously monitor and document patients' coping mechanisms and provide crisis intervention when necessary.
- Develop and Implement Care Plans: Provide input and recommendations to the clinical team to help develop and implement care plans for assigned clients.
- Communicate Effectively: Report any changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition to the care team and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED, or satisfactory completion of UCHealth-administered basic competency test. 1 year of related behavioral health experience required.
- Certifications and Training: BLS within 3 months of hire through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
