Biological Materials Management Lead

The Biological Materials Management Lead at Zoetis is responsible for ensuring a high-level performance at the Charles City Site in supply of biological vaccines. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work with the Supply Chain Network to provide direction on the planning and scheduling process. The successful candidate will oversee and ensure customer satisfaction, production efficiency, and inventory control, all while adhering to Company policies, SOPs, and global regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries and coordinate with the Planning/Scheduling/Customer Interface manager to resolve issues.
  • Execute S&OP, coordinating with the Planning/Scheduling/Customer Interface manager to ensure timely delivery of vaccines.
  • Review inventory alerts and exceptions in the market to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Lead the process order cycle for planning with the planning team and manufacturing to ensure timely receipt and release of materials.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by utilizing new systems and process flow enhancements.
  • Aid in ensuring the timely release of production lots through coordination with Quality, Operations, and other Process Teams.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and communication skills in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service focus.
  • Strong analytical/problem resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of product flow through Manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing facilities and equipment capabilities and constraints.
  • Knowledge and understanding of SAP, MPS, MRP, and inventory management principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complexity across a broad product portfolio.
  • Proficient math and excel skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated negotiating skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Zoetis Supply Operating Model, SAP.
  • Experience in managing Distressed Inventory.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Management, Engineering, Management Information Science, Business or related business/technical field with minimum of 5 years business experience in materials planning and/or production scheduling.
  • OR MBS/MS with 0-2 years of experience.
  • OR minimum of 8 years relevant experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position requires sitting and working on a computer for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to walk, sit, or stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work scheduled 40 hours with the ability to work more as needed.
  • Repetitive motion and substantial movement of the wrists, hands, and/or finger.
