UNIV - Open Rank Faculty - Surgery: General Surgery

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a highly qualified academic surgeon to join its Trauma and Acute Care Surgery (TACS) Fellowship program. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing advanced training in the clinical, administrative, research, and educational components of trauma and acute care surgery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide expert clinical care to patients with complex trauma and acute care needs
• Participate in the development and implementation of educational programs for fellows and residents
• Conduct research in trauma and acute care surgery, with a focus on improving patient outcomes and advancing the field
• Collaborate with other faculty members to develop and implement administrative policies and procedures
Requirements:
• MD or MD equivalent degree
• Completion of residency training in General Surgery
• Eligibility for certification or certification by the American Board of Surgery or an equivalent international certification
• Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required
• Computer literacy and ability to learn new processes, tools, and equipment
