MRI Technician

Location: US: WI: WEST BEND at our FROEDTERT WEST BEND HOSPITAL facility.

Experience in MRI technology is preferred, though not mandatory.

This role is ON-SITE.

Sign-On Bonus Available: $5,000.00

Shift Details: Shift 4

Every other Saturday/Sunday at Froedtert West Bend Hospital. Varied shifts during the week between Menomonee Falls and West Bend.
2nd shift starts between 12 PM and 2:30 PM. Saturday and Sunday shifts are from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM.

Job Responsibilities:
Conducts MRI examinations under the supervision of a radiologist and guidance from a senior MRI Technologist. This role involves collaboration with imaging personnel, nursing staff, physicians, patients, and visitors. Acts as a knowledgeable resource for MRI technical matters and adheres to established protocols and guidelines. Operates MRI machinery and related equipment, prepares the scanning environment, including equipment, supplies, and medications. Additionally, this individual is responsible for maintaining images and patient data archives. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Preferred Experience:
Prior experience as an MRI Technologist is preferred, but not essential.
One to three years of relevant experience is advantageous.

Educational Requirements:
A graduate of a JCERT accredited two-year or four-year radiologic technology, nuclear medicine program, or MRI program is required.
A two or four-year degree in radiologic technology, healthcare, business, or a related field is preferred.

Training Requirements:
Successful completion of a cross-sectional anatomy course is mandatory.

Special Skills:
Proficiency and demonstrated ability in IV insertion and contrast administration; capacity to integrate new procedures into daily routines is essential.

Licensure Requirements:
ARRT registration is required. Advanced certification through ARRT in ARRT-MR must be obtained within 18 months of hire.
BCLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
A State of WI license in Radiologic Technology is necessary if the incumbent performs CT, general radiography, or any imaging utilizing ionizing radiation; if the practice is limited to MRI and/or Ultrasound, no state license is required.
