About the Role

As a Greyhound Adoption Center Assistant, you will play a vital role in the care and well-being of retired greyhounds. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing daily care and attention to the greyhounds, including feeding, exercise, and cleaning of kennels
  • Assisting with the adoption process, including screening applicants and preparing greyhounds for adoption
  • Monitoring the health and well-being of the greyhounds, including dispensing medications and providing basic first aid
  • Operating company vehicles when required
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • No high school diploma or GED required
  • Experience working with large dogs, preferably in a kennel setting
  • Ability to determine when a dog may be in need of medical attention
  • Organized with the ability to maintain schedules, appointments, and competing priorities
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
