Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Medical Records Supervisor to oversee the daily management of our Medical Records department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of medical records, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and patient confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Medical Records department, ensuring compliance with state standards and regulatory requirements.
- Plan, organize, and schedule the work of subordinates, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Assist with recruitment, training, and development of new and existing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Coordinate staff coverage, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet the needs of the department.
- Plan and host team meetings, fostering open communication and collaboration among team members.
- Maintain updated resources and procedures, ensuring the department remains current with best practices and industry developments.
- Work closely with the leadership team and other managers to identify and resolve issues, providing data and reports to inform decision-making.
- Establish incentives for the team, promoting a culture of excellence and recognition.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- One year of customer service experience in a high-volume, multi-unit medical practice.
- Previous leadership experience is required.
- Previous medical records and customer service experience is required.
- Knowledgeable in basic clinical functions, administrative practices, and operational procedures in a medical setting.
- Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and excellent oral and written communication skills.
