Role Summary:
We are on the lookout for a talented and driven Application Security Engineer to become part of our vibrant team. This role entails safeguarding the security and integrity of our clients' software applications. You will collaborate closely with development and DevOps teams to embed security practices throughout the software development lifecycle, manage vulnerabilities, and respond to security incidents. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in DevOps, offensive security, and incident response.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and uphold a thorough vulnerability management program.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on applications.
  • Identify, document, and prioritize vulnerabilities, collaborating with development teams for remediation.
  • Work alongside DevOps teams to incorporate security tools and methodologies into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Implement automated security testing and monitoring solutions.
  • Provide insights on secure coding practices and assist in code evaluations.
  • Perform threat modeling and security evaluations of applications and infrastructure.
  • Simulate and execute offensive security techniques to uncover potential security flaws.
  • Stay updated with the latest attack strategies and security trends.
  • Respond to security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures.
  • Develop and maintain incident response strategies and documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal and external parties during security incidents.
  • Conduct security training sessions for developers and other personnel.
  • Promote security awareness and best practices throughout the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Significant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in application security, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Strong background in DevOps with familiarity in CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Docker).
  • Experience with offensive security methodologies, including penetration testing and red teaming.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., OWASP, NIST, ISO).
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CISSP, CEH, or similar.
  • Experience with cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with container security and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Interest or experience in applying AI within application security.
