Job Responsibilities

The Inventory Procurement Specialist is responsible for procuring raw materials from established and new vendors, planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of materials through the production cycle. Key duties include:

  • Negotiating lowest pricing on all purchases for the company.
  • Placing purchase orders and expediting items daily.
  • Maintaining order accuracy regarding quantity, pricing, and due dates.
  • Tracking the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders.
  • Maintaining current costs in pricing.
  • Regulating inventory levels, maintaining stock, verifying efficient use of materials, and updating inventory as needed.
  • Arranging shipments of parts and machinery domestically and internationally.
  • Maintaining bill of material for each machine manufactured.
