Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Controls Engineer to join our team at Adecco. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative control systems for automated packaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop control systems for complex machines, specifying electrical components and creating electrical schematics and panel layouts using 2D CAD software.
  • Write and troubleshoot PLC and HMI software to operate these machines, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Implement hardware and software modifications to existing equipment to improve capabilities and reliability.
  • Document all designs and engineering decisions for future reference, providing technicians with sufficient documentation to allow proper assembly.
  • Supervise the electrical assembly process, note problem areas, and assist with wiring and machine debugging.
  • Interface with sales, customers, field service, and R&D for all stages of the project, providing technical assistance and feedback.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED certificate, with a 4-year engineering degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with experience writing and troubleshooting code using RS Logix/Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, and other relevant software.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting background, with moderate to high level of mechanical aptitude and understanding of engineering units and concepts of physics.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to manage numerous requests and coordinate with customers and vendors.
Working Conditions

This position requires limited overnight travel, both domestic and international, with an average of 10% travel. The normal work week is Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends depending on project workload.
