Nixon Peabody is a leading law firm seeking an experienced commercial litigation associate or counsel to join our Washington, DC office. The successful candidate will work on matters in our Construction and Real Estate Litigation practice group, as well as commercial litigation generally.
Key Responsibilities- Work on complex commercial litigation cases, including taking and defending depositions, and participating in trials and hearings.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement litigation strategies.
- Conduct research and analysis to support case development and preparation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel to ensure seamless case management.
To be considered for this role, you must have at least 6 to 8 years of commercial litigation experience, including significant experience taking and defending depositions. Hearing and some trial experience is required. Ability to work in a fast-paced client-centric environment with a varied caseload involving complex issues is critical. Ideal candidates will be admitted to practice in DC, in addition to VA and/or MD.
What We OfferNixon Peabody offers a competitive salary range of $325,000 to $350,000, as well as a standard benefits package. This role may be eligible for additional contingent compensation based on an array of factors, including work performance, geographic location, work experience, education, and qualifications.
