Job Title: Generator Technician Class A

Waukesha Pearce Industries is seeking a highly skilled Generator Technician Class A to join our team. As a Generator Technician Class A, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and load testing on generators and transfer switches.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on generators and transfer switches
  • Conduct load testing and warranty repairs
  • Start up generators based on manufacturer requirements
  • Perform weekly truck inspections and maintain service truck, tools, and equipment
  • Fill out required JSA forms on every job
Requirements:
  • 3 years of previous generator experience or comparable manufacturer certification
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Knowledge of testing and load generators/engines
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Working knowledge of generator and electrical theory
  • Trade School or manufacturer certification preferred
Working Conditions:

Typical hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Overtime and weekend hours may be required. Outside work is also a possibility.

Continued employment in the position of Generator Technician Class A and future advancement will be contingent on your ability to learn from Waukesha Pearce Industries and manufacturer-sponsored training classes.
