Postdoctoral Researcher in Health Sciences

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified postdoctoral scholar to join our team at the University of California, Merced. The successful candidate will have a strong background in health equity research and a demonstrated ability to conduct independent and collaborative scientific research.
Job Summary:The postdoctoral scholar will work closely with our research team to advance health equity in Latino/a/x, immigrant, and rural communities in the San Joaquin Valley region. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to community-engaged research principles and experience in mixed methods and health equity research.
Responsibilities:- Conduct research on health equity and rural health, including literature reviews, data analysis, and report writing
- Collaborate with community partners to develop and implement research projects
- Provide qualitative research skill trainings to community partners and research assistants
- Manage the project's database and overall project evaluation
- Ph.D. in Public Health, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Community Health Sciences, Health/Public Policy, or other related social, behavioral, or population science field
- Interest in health equity and rural health research
- Strong methodological and data analysis skills (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods)
- Highly self-motivated individuals who have demonstrated the ability to conduct independent and collaborative scientific research
- Demonstrated evidence of strong contributions to scholarship, including peer-reviewed publications
- Experience conducting or collaborating on health equity and rural health research studies, particularly investigations with a community-engaged component
