Job Overview

Position Summary:
Field Service Technicians play a vital role in fulfilling I3 Broadband's commitment to providing the most advanced internet, television, and voice services, complemented by exceptional customer service. These technicians primarily focus on the installation of our cable television and broadband services, often working directly in customers' homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts customer drop installations, ensuring complete connectivity from tap to antenna terminals within customer residences.
  • Handles new connections, reconnections, and disconnections, including service upgrades and downgrades.
  • Evaluates picture quality post-installation to ensure service standards are met.
  • Utilizes various tools and equipment, including hand and power tools, to perform job duties effectively.
  • Measures signal levels using a field strength meter, troubleshooting installation issues as necessary.
  • Employs a VOM or DMM to diagnose electrical issues, ensuring proper voltage levels.
  • Interprets blueprints to understand drop system layouts.
  • Informs customers about FCC regulations and company policies.
  • Completes necessary paperwork and system logs as required.
  • Maintains company vehicles in good condition, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
  • Contributes to revenue generation through effective sales techniques and promotion of service options.
  • Assists team members and performs additional duties as assigned.

  • Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds and performing physical tasks.
  • Good manual dexterity for working with small components and tools.
