  • Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs to customer vehicles and trailers, ensuring all work is completed to specific customer and industry-standard specifications.
  • Welding and Fabrication: Perform basic welding functions to support repair and maintenance activities.
  • Customer Communication: Inform customers and managers of completion times, services expenses, and possible changes to ensure seamless communication and customer satisfaction.
  • Profit and Loss Management: Monitor the profit/loss of each job to maximize profitability while maintaining the highest standards of quality, minimizing warranty claims and re-work.
  • Administrative Tasks: Submit work orders for invoicing, maintain inventory and supplies, and prepare lists of required replacement parts.
  • Housekeeping and Safety: Clean work areas as required and maintain equipment, adhering to all environmental, health, and safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Two years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience within the heavy duty industry.
  • Tools and Equipment: Possess own tools and/or willingness to purchase tools required for the job as they advance in their skill level and responsibilities.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license and/or CDL with a good driving record.
