This role extends beyond mere numerical analysis.
You will be expected to make significant contributions to the successful completion of both current and future projects.

The selected candidate will collaborate with a motivated and cohesive team of professionals and consultants dedicated to developing high-quality communities that endure over time.

We are not merely constructing another typical subdivision; we seek individuals with a passion for real estate development who are entrepreneurial, committed to excellence, and prepared for future leadership opportunities as our company expands.


Key Responsibilities

- Manage the accounts payable process to ensure thorough review, approval, compliance with contracts, and timely payments.
- Monitor lien releases and ensure compliance with supplier agreements.
- Audit vendor insurance for adherence to standards.
- Prepare, audit, and process weekly and monthly check runs throughout the entire cycle.
- Review and process General Contractor invoice draw packages.
- Generate job cost reports and analyses to ensure project compliance with budgetary constraints.
- Track budget versus actual performance and communicate variances effectively.
- Prepare monthly financial statements for each project, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Review owner contracts to understand accounting requirements and maintain compliance.
- Process incoming correspondence related to assigned development projects.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to manage Accounts Receivable entries.
- Conduct bank deposits and ensure effective communication.
- Meet payment schedule deadlines and coordinate project startup activities with senior management and vendors.
- Undertake ad hoc projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Preferred experience in project accounting within the homebuilding sector.
Strong understanding of GAAP and relevant regulations.
Exceptional accounting, time management, and teamwork skills.
Ability to meet strict deadlines and work effectively under pressure without compromising quality.
Proven ability to work independently with initiative and manage multiple priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and accounting software (e.g., Yardi, Timberline).
Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid driver's license required.
Experience with Sage Intacct software is a significant advantage.
