We are currently looking for candidates to fill the role of Natural Gas Utility Inspectors within the construction sector. Our inspectors play a crucial role in ensuring the correct installation of natural gas poly and steel distribution systems.

Compensation: $32 per hour, with no Per-Diem available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess job sites and construction pathways prior to project initiation.
  • Engage with contractors to resolve issues and verify crew qualifications.
  • Track daily progress of construction activities.
  • Make on-site determinations regarding pipeline placement.
  • Confirm the adequacy of tie-in points.
  • Inspect welding standards and fusion compliance.
  • Maintain Operator Qualifications.
  • Facilitate tie-ins and service installations.
  • Accurately complete daily reports and documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and practices.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with best management practices.
  • Understanding of municipal and county paving standards.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Attention to detail and capability to interpret construction drawings.
  • Experience in the natural gas sector and practical construction knowledge.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in the natural gas field.
  • Experience with polyethylene piping, fusion techniques, and construction plans.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and vehicle insurance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work primarily outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Engage in moderate physical activities on a daily basis.
  • Must operate in active construction environments.
  • Effective communication with colleagues and clients is essential.
