Key Responsibilities:- Review operating financials for budget variances, cost code errors, and other posting errors on invoices.
- Prepare monthly journal entries to record operating activity for assigned properties.
- Prepare account reconciliations and adjust when necessary.
- Review costs to determine expense vs. capital classification.
- Track capital expenditures & start-up costs.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet and reconciliations.
- Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company.
- Analyze and review accounting and financial resources for property acquisitions and dispositions.
- Conduct monthly close procedures and ensure that deadlines are met.
- Track and record corporate intercompany costs.
- Assist with property management team members as needed.
- Consolidate monthly financial activity to corporate system of record.
- Other ad hoc analyses, reports, and projects as needed by division management.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a four-year college or university.
- Zero to three years of related experience and/or training.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications.
- Proficiency with MS Office and email.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience in Yardi, RealPage, or similar software preferred.
