Key Responsibilities:
  • Review operating financials for budget variances, cost code errors, and other posting errors on invoices.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries to record operating activity for assigned properties.
  • Prepare account reconciliations and adjust when necessary.
  • Review costs to determine expense vs. capital classification.
  • Track capital expenditures & start-up costs.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and reconciliations.
  • Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company.
  • Analyze and review accounting and financial resources for property acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Conduct monthly close procedures and ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Track and record corporate intercompany costs.
  • Assist with property management team members as needed.
  • Consolidate monthly financial activity to corporate system of record.
  • Other ad hoc analyses, reports, and projects as needed by division management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a four-year college or university.
  • Zero to three years of related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience in Yardi, RealPage, or similar software preferred.
